Polar Vortex chills Idaho

Live cattle futures open mixed in most contracts, with most deferred contracts 20 cents higher. Feeder cattle futures are up 60 cents. The CME feeder cattle index is down a penny at $141.53. Wholesale boxed beef prices were mixed. Choice boxes are down 45 cents with Select 35 cents higher at $212.72. 

Sugar opens at 13 cents per pound down a percentage point.

Milk opens at  $13.92 down 3 cents.
