Rain hampers Idaho hay crop
The first crop of hay for 2019 is in the barn—just before the rains…other farmers are waiting, Steve Ritter reported that getting the hay in has proven to be a race against the clock, with mother nature calling all the shots.
USDA says trade mitigation package is coming "shortly". Farmers urged not to make planting decisions based on speculation about what the package will contain. Gary Crawford reported from Washington
US Ag Secretary Perdue was in Utah yesterday and he and the state of Utah signed a shared stewardship agreement on forests. Stephanie Ho was there with this report:
