Weekend Market Report: Corn down
Corn futures are trading a cent higher after ending the Thursday trade session with most contracts 1 to 2 cents lower. Thursday morning’s USDA Export Sales report indicated export shipments of 417,000 MT for the week ending November 9, a drop of 14.8% from last week and 53% lower than a year ago. Mexico was the primary destination, with 248,000 MT shipped. Total corn export commitments are now 78 % of last year’s total for this time of year. Corn this morning is trading in Ogden trading at 3.88 and 3.56 in Meridian.
