Paul and Erica Whitmore live between Troy and Kendrick with their four horses, laying chickens, two dogs, and two cats. The two met while Erica was attending Washington State University and Paul was making a living as a farmer. They got married in Davenport, Washington, in 2003 and purchased their first house; this is when the animal population grew. The great Wally Butler approached them to join YF&R and this is where the fun and friendships began!

Paul now works for Primeland Cooperatives in Cavendish, Kendrick, and Moscow as a custom applicator and shop foreman during the winter months. In his spare time, Paul enjoys hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and spending time with friends and family. Erica is an agriculture education teacher at Kendrick High School where she offers a selection of courses ranging from Agriculture/Livestock Production, Horticulture, Welding, Soils/Forestry, and Animal Science. She also serves as the FFA advisor assisting students with projects, competitions, and building leadership skills.  She enjoys spending time with her animals, rodeo/Omok’see, traveling, and being with her friends and family. Being involved in the YF&R program has allowed Paul and Erica to spend more time together and share their passion of agriculture with other couples in the state of Idaho.

Drew Brammer, Latah County, is the winner of District 5 outstanding YF&R for 2007.
